Who Can Apply?

The recruitment has specific Arunachal Pradesh eligibility conditions. Candidates must be Indian citizens who meet the prescribed Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC) requirement, possess an Arunachal Pradesh Scheduled Tribe (APST) Certificate, and have proficiency in speaking an indigenous tribal language of Arunachal Pradesh with the required working knowledge of local indigenous communities.

These conditions are essential. A candidate who does not satisfy the prescribed Arunachal Pradesh residency and APST requirements should not assume that a general Indian graduate can apply merely because the educational qualification is a graduation degree.

Educational Qualification

The general educational requirement is a Graduate Degree from a UGC-recognised university, an institution established by an Act of Parliament, or a deemed university recognised under the applicable UGC provisions.

Final-year candidates may be permitted to apply provisionally subject to the conditions in the notification and production of proof of the qualifying degree within the prescribed stage of the recruitment process. Candidates applying for APPS posts must additionally satisfy the prescribed physical and medical standards.

Age Limit

The standard age range is 21 to 35 years as on 20 October 2026. The notification provides applicable relaxations for eligible APST candidates, APST Defence Personnel, APST PwBD candidates and other categories covered by the relevant rules.

Candidates should use their Matriculation or High School Leaving Certificate as the prescribed proof of date of birth and apply the exact relaxation applicable to their category rather than relying on generic age-relaxation figures.

APPSC CCE Salary and Pay Levels

The recruitment covers multiple services with different pay levels. For example, the APCS (Entry Grade) and several Group-A posts are placed at higher government pay levels, while Group-B posts such as Assistant Section Officer and Labour Officer have their respective notified levels.

Because the examination covers 13 different services/posts, applicants should check the individual post’s service rules and pay details in the official notification rather than applying one salary figure to every vacancy.

Application Fee

The application fee is ₹200 for the applicable general category of candidates, payable online. PwD candidates are exempted from the fee under the provisions stated in the recruitment notification.

Understanding the 13 Services

The 135 vacancies are distributed across administrative, police, transport, food and civil supplies, labour, information, taxation and secretariat-related functions. The largest individual vacancy blocks are 60 APCS (Entry Grade) posts and 38 Assistant Section Officer posts. APPS (Entry Grade) has 10 posts, while the remaining services have smaller vacancy counts.

The nature of work differs substantially between these services. Administrative posts can involve policy implementation, departmental coordination and public administration. Information and publicity posts may involve communication and public-information responsibilities, while transport, taxation, labour and supply-related posts have their own departmental functions. Candidates should therefore read the service-specific description before selecting preferences where the notification permits.

APPSC CCE Preliminary Exam Pattern

Paper Subject Marks Duration
Paper I General Studies 200 2 hours
Paper II Aptitude Test / CSAT 200 2 hours

Both Preliminary papers are compulsory. The second paper is qualifying in nature, while the Preliminary stage is used to screen candidates for the Main Examination. Incorrect answers attract the prescribed negative marking. Candidates should read the detailed syllabus and examination instructions before finalising their preparation plan.

Preparation Points for APPSC CCE 2026

  • Build a strong base in General Studies and current affairs relevant to Arunachal Pradesh and India.
  • Practise aptitude, reasoning, comprehension and quantitative questions for the CSAT paper.
  • Read the APPSC syllabus carefully instead of preparing only from generic civil-service material.
  • Revise Arunachal Pradesh-specific history, geography, administration, economy and social issues where included in the syllabus.
  • Practise previous-style objective questions under time limits because both Preliminary papers have fixed durations.
  • For the Main Examination, develop structured answer-writing practice for Essay and General Studies papers.
  • Candidates targeting APPS posts should separately verify physical and medical standards before applying.

Application Mistakes to Avoid

Candidates should ensure that their name, date of birth, APST details, PRC information and educational details match their supporting documents. Uploads should meet the prescribed file size and format requirements. The application should be reviewed carefully before final submission because the notification states that changes are not permitted after submission.

Applicants should also retain their Registration ID, payment confirmation and submitted application. If a candidate submits more than one application under the permitted circumstances, the Commission’s stated rule regarding the accepted Registration ID should be followed rather than assuming that all applications will remain active.
