Eligibility Criteria
The notification provides two qualification routes for the Assistant Lecturer position. Category A covers candidates with a postgraduate qualification in Hospitality/Tourism or an MBA together with the prescribed full-time hospitality/hotel administration qualification and marks requirement. Category B covers candidates with the prescribed full-time bachelor’s qualification in Hospitality/Hotel Administration/Hotel Management/Culinary Arts along with the required industry experience. The notification also specifies the NHTET requirement, subject to the exemption stated for eligible PhD holders.
Age Limit
The upper age limit for General Category candidates is 35 years as on 1 July 2026. Applicable relaxation is provided to eligible categories according to government norms.
Selection Process
Selection is based on the process prescribed by PIHMCT/NCHMCT, including the prescribed skill assessment and weightage for NHTET performance as specified in the recruitment notification.
