Educational Qualification
General Stream – 25 Posts
Master’s Degree or a minimum two-year Post Graduate Diploma in any discipline; or Bachelor’s Degree in Law; or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering; or ACA/FCA from ICAI; ACS/FCS from ICSI; ACMA/FCMA from ICMAI; or CFA from the CFA Institute. Candidates should also be computer literate and conversant with MS Office applications.
Research Stream – 2 Posts
Eligible qualifications include a Master’s Degree/Post Graduate Diploma of at least two years in specified areas including Economics, Commerce, Business Administration, Econometrics, Quantitative Economics, Financial Economics, Mathematical Economics, Business Economics, Agricultural Economics, Industrial Economics, Business Analytics, Finance, Quantitative Finance, Mathematical Finance, Quantitative Techniques, International Finance, Business Finance, International and Trade Finance, Project and Infrastructure Finance, Agri. Business Finance, Statistics, Mathematical Statistics, Statistics & Informatics, Applied Statistics & Informatics, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning or Big Data Analytics. A Master’s Degree in Mathematics with one-year postgraduate diploma in Statistics or related subject is also specified.
Actuary Stream – 2 Posts
Graduation from a recognised University/Institute and pass or exemption in all seven Core Principles subjects of the Institute of Actuaries of India examination.
Official Language (Rajbhasha) – 1 Post
Master’s Degree in Hindi/Hindi Translation with English as a subject at Bachelor’s level; or Master’s Degree in Sanskrit, English, Economics or Commerce with Hindi at Bachelor’s level; or Master’s Degrees in both English and Hindi/Hindi Translation, from a recognised University/Institute, as specified in the advertisement.
Age Limit
The candidate must not have exceeded 30 years as on 31 July 2026, meaning the candidate must have been born on or after 1 August 1996.
Age Relaxation
- SC/ST: up to 5 years, where applicable.

Application Fee
The application fee is ₹1,000 for candidates in the applicable General/EWS/OBC category. SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates are exempt from payment of the application fee, subject to the conditions of the official advertisement.
Salary / Pay Scale
Officer Grade ‘A’ carries a pay scale of ₹62,500–3,600(4)–₹76,900–4,050(7)–₹1,05,250–EB–₹1,21,450–4,650(1)–₹1,26,100. PFRDA states that gross emoluments at the minimum of the scale, including applicable allowances and PFRDA’s NPS contribution, are approximately ₹2,05,000 per month.
Selection Process
The selection process has three stages: Phase I online screening examination, Phase II online examination and Phase III interview.
Phase I
Phase I consists of two papers of 100 marks each. Paper 1 covers English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning and General Awareness including financial-sector questions. Paper 2 is stream-specific. Negative marking of one-fourth of the marks assigned to a question applies in Phase I. Phase I marks are used for shortlisting to Phase II and are not counted in final selection.
Phase II
Phase II has two papers of 100 marks each. Paper 1 is a descriptive English test. Paper 2 is stream-specific. Negative marking applies to Paper 2. Candidates are shortlisted for interview based on Phase II performance and the notified criteria.
Phase III – Interview
Only candidates shortlisted after Phase II are called for interview. Final selection is based on Phase II written examination and interview, with 85% weightage to Phase II and 15% to the interview.
Job Location
PFRDA currently has offices in New Delhi and Mumbai. The advertisement states that selected candidates may be posted in either office and may also be liable to serve anywhere in India according to the Authority’s requirements.
