5. The Magic of Mukesh – Live Musical Night in Surat

Fans of Mukesh also have a later programme to watch for in Surat. Current event listings show The Magic of Mukesh – Live Musical Night at Sanjeev Kumar Auditorium on December 26, 2026 at 9:15 PM. This is a Mukesh-focused programme rather than a joint Rafi–Mukesh event, so readers should treat it as a related tribute rather than a combined concert.

Why Rafi and Mukesh Tributes Remain Popular

Mohammed Rafi and Mukesh occupy distinct but equally important places in the history of Hindi film music. Rafi was celebrated for his extraordinary range across romantic songs, classical-influenced compositions, patriotic numbers, qawwalis and energetic playback performances. Mukesh became especially associated with soulful, emotionally direct songs and with the screen persona of Raj Kapoor.

Tribute concerts give audiences a chance to hear these compositions performed live rather than simply through recordings. They also introduce classic Hindi film music to younger listeners while allowing long-time fans to revisit songs from the golden era of cinema.

What Songs Can Audiences Expect?

Exact set lists can change according to the performers and organisers, and the event listings do not publish complete song lists. Audiences can nevertheless expect programmes built around well-known Rafi and Mukesh melodies and other popular Hindi film songs from their eras. The Pune Carvaan Live listing, for example, specifically mentions Rafi favourites such as Abhi Na Jao Chhod Kar and Kya Hua Tera Wada.

Which Rafi or Mukesh Tribute Event Should You Choose?

If you are deciding between these programmes, the choice depends on the type of experience you want. The Surat show is the clearest combined Rafi–Mukesh tribute. Mysuru is broader, adding Kishore Kumar to the evening and presenting the music as a golden-era Hindi programme. Pune is a shorter, dedicated Rafi concert with an interactive format, while New Delhi offers a longer Rafi tribute followed by high tea and dinner.

Before You Book: Five-Point Checklist

1. Confirm the date and start time. October events are close together, so check the latest listing immediately before booking.
2. Check the venue location. Allow extra travel time, especially for evening programmes.
3. Review the ticket category. The listed starting price may not represent every seat category.
4. Read the entry rules. Age limits and venue policies can differ; the New Delhi listing specifies 18+ and the Pune listing specifies 8+.
5. Save the booking confirmation. Keep the ticket and venue details accessible until the programme is over.

Why These Events Are Timely in October 2026

October is particularly active for cultural programming in several cities. The Mysuru tribute on October 6 arrives just before the city’s major Dasara programme, which officially runs from October 11 to October 21, 2026. This makes the Mysuru concert one option for visitors already planning a cultural trip to the city.

Event Status and Verification

CareerSphere has used currently published event listings rather than treating social-media announcements as confirmed schedules. The Surat, Pune and New Delhi programmes have active ticket listings, while the Mysuru programme is supported by a local newspaper announcement. Readers should still check the organiser or ticketing page on the day of travel because ticket availability, venue instructions and timings can change.

How to Plan Your Visit

1. Pick the programme: Decide whether you want a joint Rafi–Mukesh show, a Rafi-only concert or a Mukesh-focused programme.
2. Check the live listing: Reconfirm the date, start time, venue and ticket availability before paying.
3. Plan transport: For evening shows, allow time for traffic, parking and venue security.
4. Keep the ticket ready: Save the booking confirmation on your phone and carry identification if the venue requires it.
5. Arrive early: Reach the venue before the published start time to avoid missing the opening performances.

At-a-Glance Decision Guide

Choose Surat on October 6 if your priority is hearing both Rafi and Mukesh in one dedicated tribute. Choose Mysuru on October 6 if you want a wider golden-era programme featuring Rafi, Mukesh and Kishore Kumar. Choose Pune on October 9 if you prefer a shorter Rafi-focused concert with interactive elements. Choose New Delhi on October 10 if you want a longer Rafi tribute with high tea and dinner. For a later Mukesh-only experience, the December 26 Surat programme is the relevant listing.
